When you create an account using Google Sign In or Apple Sign In, we collect:

• Name (from your Google/Apple account)
• Email address (may be private relay for Apple Sign In)
• Profile photo (if available from your account)

1.2 Portfolio Data

We store the following data you provide:

• Asset information: Types, symbols, amounts, prices
• Watchlist items: Stocks and cryptocurrencies you track
• Price alerts: Alert conditions and preferences
• Settings: Currency preference, theme selection

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

• Device information: iOS version, device model (for compatibility)
• Usage data: Features used, crash reports (for improving the app)
• Network status: Online/offline state (for sync functionality)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Assetly service
• Sync your portfolio data across devices via Firebase
• Send price alert notifications
• Analyze app usage to improve features
• Provide customer support
• Communicate updates and important information

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Firebase Cloud Storage

Your portfolio data is securely stored using Google Firebase with:

• End-to-end encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Data encryption at rest
• User-specific data isolation (only you can access your portfolio)
• Regular automated backups

3.2 Local Storage

Some data is cached locally on your device for offline functionality and performance. This includes recent portfolio snapshots and price data.

Assetly integrates with the following third-party services:

4.1 Authentication

• Google Sign In: For account creation and login
• Apple Sign In: For account creation and login
• Firebase Authentication: For secure user management

4.2 Market Data Providers

• Finnhub: Stock market data and fundamentals
• CoinGecko: Cryptocurrency prices
• Binance: Real-time cryptocurrency price streams
• Other providers: Additional market data sources

4.3 Pulse Tab — Social & News Providers

The Pulse tab fetches content from the following third-party services. When you view the Pulse tab, your device makes requests to these services to retrieve market sentiment and news data. No personal information is transmitted — only the asset ticker symbols or search queries required to fetch relevant content.

• StockTwits: Social sentiment data (bullish/bearish scores and posts). Requests include only ticker symbols (e.g. AAPL, BTC). Subject to StockTwits' Privacy Policy.
• Financial news providers (including CNBC, Benzinga, and others via our news API): Market news headlines and summaries. Requests include only ticker symbols or topic queries. Content is owned by and attributed to the original publishers.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
• Service providers: Firebase, authentication services (under strict data processing agreements)

• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition (users will be notified)

6. Your Rights & Choices

6.1 Access & Control

• View your data: All portfolio data is visible in the app
• Export your data: Use CSV export feature to download your portfolio
• Delete your data: Sign out to clear local data; contact us for cloud data deletion
• Modify settings: Change currency, theme, and alert preferences anytime

6.2 Account Deletion

To permanently delete your account and all associated data:

• Sign out of the app (clears local data)
• Email us at [email protected] with your account email
• We will delete your account and cloud data within 30 days

7. Children's Privacy

Assetly is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

8. International Users

Assetly is operated from the United Kingdom. If you are accessing the app from outside the UK, your data may be transferred to and stored in servers located in various countries where Firebase operates. By using Assetly, you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via:

• In-app notification
• Email to your registered address
• Update notice in the app

Continued use of Assetly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
